So, I’d lost my knitting inspiration recently. I just felt blah. I’m not sure if it was all the deadline knitting that I had or if I was overwhelmed by project and yarn possibilities once I got my invitation to Ravelry, but I just felt like I was without direction.
I finished the tank top for Yarns and Fabrications and dropped it off this weekend and now I’m cruising along on the sample sock for my beaded sock class in October
I also decided on a pattern for my sea silk. It took me freakin’ forever to make up my mind though. As many of my closest friends know (since I’ve asked for their guidance 15 bazillion times now) I agonized over which pattern would showcase the sea silk the best.
I’ve decided on Evelyn A. Clark’s Swallowtail Shawl from the Fall 2006 Interweave Knits. Michael really likes it and I’m intrigued by the “scarf” size shawl I should end up with. I’ve commissioned a butterfly (the symbol for Fibromyalgia awareness) shawl pin from Rosemary at Designs by Romi and I can’t wait to wear the two together.
It’s pretty much just a blob of yarn at this point, but I have high hopes for it. I’m also going to substitute beads for the nupps.
Happy Labor Day, everyone!
